Postpartum and Parent Coaching for Families in Austin and Beyond

You're not broken. You're not failing as a parent. You're transforming.

And that transformation? It's one of the most challenging things you'll ever do.

Imagine having a coach by your side who truly gets it—someone in your corner offering evidence-based guidance and unwavering compassion as you navigate the wild ride of being and becoming a parent. No more drowning in conflicting advice. No more midnight spirals questioning every single decision. No more feeling like everyone else has this figured out except you.

Here's the truth: Confident parenting isn't about perfection.

I know because I’ve been there. I’ve questioned every choice I had to make, felt like I made the wrong decision every time, and ultimately blamed myself for failing my kiddos. (Spoiler alert: it wasn’t my fault.)

Whether you're struggling with your new identity as a mom or trying to balance multiple children while keeping your sanity, I’m a fellow parent who’s been there in the trenches too and can help you reduce the perpetual overwhelm.

Is Parent Coaching Right for You?

If you’re struggling with your relationship with your partner during this transition or facing the emotional minefield of returning to work, I'll help you move from surviving to thriving. Because you deserve more than just getting through each day—you deserve to feel empowered, confident, and genuinely joyful about parenthood and the parent you're becoming.

Ready to stop questioning yourself and start trusting your instincts?

Why Trust Me As Your Coach?

I’m a Certified Perinatal Behavioral Health Coach, certified postpartum doula, and lactation consultant (IBCLC) who's walked this path personally—three times. I've helped thousands of families navigate early parenthood, but more important, I've been the mom crying at preschool drop-off because I missed the memo about my kid’s field trip when I was living in a sleep-deprived baby haze after having our secondborn.

I get it because I've lived it. My personal mix of lived experience, clinical practice, and knowledge of the most up-to-date research means I can give you evidence-based strategies that actually work in real life (and don’t just sound good in a fancy parenting book). Together we’ll come up with concrete strategies that work for your brain and your family, to help you tap into your parenting intuition and finally shake off some of the overwhelm of these challenging early days of parenthood.

Who I Support

A perfectionist myself, I love working with families who are struggling with the drive to “get it right” in their parenting journeys. My approach is rooted in understanding and empathy, helping individuals navigate the challenges of parenthood with compassion and self-acceptance. Together, we work towards embracing imperfection and finding balance amidst the demands of raising children.

A board-certified lactation consultant since 2020, specialist in perinatal mental health and neurodivergence, international professional speaker, and entrepreneur, I have over a decade of experience in supporting new and growing families. I’m also a mom who has survived potty training three children, homeschooling during the pandemic, and completing a dissertation while caring for a newborn (not sure which of these was the most challenging).

But what I’m most proud of? Figuring out that it’s okay to let go of external expectations and trust my own instincts as a mama…and helping other parents discover the same.

FAQ’s

  • Parent coaching offers personalized support during pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenting. Together, we work through the emotional, logistical, and relational challenges that come with raising young children — including feeding, sleep, identity changes, mental load, returning to work, partner communication, and building confidence in your parenting decisions.

I particularly enjoy supporting thoughtful, sensitive, neurodivergent, anxious, and high-achieving parents who may feel overwhelmed by constant information, sensory demands, perfectionism, or the pressure to “do everything right.”

Unlike therapy, parent coaching is generally more directive and action-oriented, while still offering compassionate emotional support.

  • Item descriptionYou do not need to wait until you’re overwhelmed to benefit from support.

Many families begin coaching during pregnancy to prepare for postpartum and early parenthood, while others reach out during major transitions — such as bringing home a new baby, adding another child to the family, returning to work, navigating feeding challenges, weaning, or feeling emotionally depleted during the early years.

Parent coaching can be especially helpful during seasons that feel isolating, overstimulating, emotionally intense, or difficult to navigate alone.

  • Not at all. I work with families during pregnancy, throughout the postpartum period, and during the early years of parenting.

Some clients want support preparing emotionally and practically before their baby arrives, while others seek coaching during periods of transition, stress, identity shifts, feeding changes, or family growth later in parenthood.

  • That depends on the type of support you’re looking for.

Some families benefit from a short-term package focused on a specific transition, while others prefer ongoing support over several months as they navigate pregnancy, postpartum recovery, feeding, sleep, returning to work, relationship changes, and the emotional realities of parenting.

We can discuss what level of support feels most helpful during your consultation, which you can book here.

  • Absolutely. Parenting affects the entire family system, and partner relationships often undergo major changes during pregnancy and early parenthood.

I work with all kinds of families and welcome partners into the coaching process when helpful. Some packages also include dedicated partner sessions to support communication, shared responsibilities, emotional connection, and navigating parenting as a team.

  • Parent coaching can support a wide range of challenges and transitions, including:

    • postpartum adjustment

    • feeding and pumping stress

    • breastfeeding challenges

    • weaning and breastfeeding grief

    • sleep deprivation

    • returning to work

    • relationship changes after baby

    • parenting anxiety and overwhelm

    • perfectionism and decision fatigue

    • sensory overwhelm and nervous system regulation

    • supporting neurodivergent parents (including ADHDers and Autistic parents)

    • mental load and household balance

    • building routines and support systems

    • navigating conflicting parenting advice

    • sibling transitions and growing families

    • identity shifts in motherhood and parenthood

  • Yes. My practice is neurodiversity-affirming, and I frequently support ADHDers, Autistic parents, highly sensitive parents, and families navigating anxiety, perfectionism, sensory overwhelm, and burnout during pregnancy and early parenting.

As a neurodivergent parent myself, I understand firsthand how overwhelming modern parenting expectations, constant information, sensory demands, and executive functioning challenges can feel.

Many parents struggle not because they are “doing it wrong,” but because mainstream parenting advice often ignores differences in nervous systems, sensory needs, communication styles, and processing styles. My goal is to help families build sustainable systems and approaches that work for their real lives and real brains.

  • Item descriptionNo. Parent coaching is not mental health therapy, diagnosis, or medical treatment.

Coaching focuses on practical support, education, nervous-system-informed strategies, emotional processing, and helping parents feel more confident and supported in daily life. My approach is neurodiversity-affirming and especially supportive for parents navigating anxiety, overwhelm, sensory sensitivities, perfectionism, or the intense mental load that often accompanies modern parenting.

If I believe additional mental health support would be beneficial, I may also encourage referrals to appropriate therapists or healthcare providers.

  • Yes. Parent coaching sessions are offered virtually, allowing families in Austin and worldwide to access support from home.

Virtual coaching works especially well for busy parents who need flexible, ongoing support woven into real life. Many families appreciate being able to receive support in their own environment without needing to coordinate childcare or leave the house during an already demanding season of life.
