Lactation support without the pressure
Imagine having a “lactation consultant in your pocket,” offering you evidence-based information, holistic support, and compassion without judgment every step of the way.
No more asking Dr. Google at 3AM, no more conflicting advice from 37 different healthcare providers and family members, no more questioning your own parenting instinct.
I’m here to guide you through your lactation journey, through birth, the early days with your newborn, and the rest of the “fourth trimester.”
I have particular expertise supporting anxious and neurodivergent parents, families navigating perinatal mood and anxiety concerns, and parents who feel overwhelmed by conflicting feeding advice or the pressure to do everything “right.”
My care is neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and attentive to sensory needs, mental health, and the realities of early parenting.
I also have extensive experience supporting NICU and late-preterm feeding, complex feeding journeys, pumping, bottle refusal, and families who need a plan that is both evidence-based and actually sustainable in real life.

Single Lactation Visits
In-Home Lactation Visit — $375
90-minute in-home visit in Austin, Texas and surrounding areas. For focused breastfeeding, pumping, or bottle-feeding support.
A single in-home lactation visit can be a great place to start—whether you have a specific feeding concern, want reassurance that things are going well, or simply aren’t sure yet how much support you’ll need.
During your visit, we’ll assess feeding, milk transfer, and your baby’s oral function as needed, and create a personalized plan you can follow at home.
If we begin with a single visit and it becomes clear that more support would be helpful, you’ll have the option to apply your visit toward a package within 48 hours.

Many families need more than one appointment to meet their feeding goals.
My 3-, 6-, and 12-week lactation packages provide responsive, relationship-based care as breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, milk supply, sleep, and family needs evolve. Instead of starting over every time something changes, you’ll have an IBCLC who already knows your baby, your feeding history, your goals, and what we’ve already tried.
For prenatal package clients, reserving your package also reserves your due date and guarantees postpartum availability. Package clients receive priority scheduling and between-visit messaging support.
Often, families know before baby arrives that they feel better when support is already in place. Ongoing care can be especially valuable for anxious or neurodivergent parents, families navigating perinatal mental-health concerns, NICU or late-preterm feeding, previous difficult feeding experiences, or anyone who feels better with a familiar expert already in their corner.
Not sure whether you need a package? You can always start with a single visit.
Virtual Lactation + Parent Coaching Support
Virtual visits are a good fit when you need expert guidance but do not need a hands-on feeding assessment.
Virtual Lactation Consultation — $150
Virtual support can include:
- Pumping questions and feeding-plan adjustments
- Introducing bottles or troubleshooting bottle routines when an in-person assessment is not needed
- Returning to work or planning for separation
- Introducing solids and navigating feeding transitions
- Combination feeding or exclusive pumping
- Weaning or changing feeding goals
- Sleep and feeding rhythms
- Preparing for travel or other family transitions
- Decision-making when feeding advice feels confusing or contradictory
- Parent coaching around routines, overwhelm, confidence, boundaries, and adapting family life as your baby grows
Virtual care is also a particularly accessible option for neurodivergent parents or families who prefer to problem-solve from home without adding another outing to the day.
Heather is like the Mary Poppins of lactation consultants. She was beyond fabulous with our baby, almost a baby whisperer…Appreciate Heather SOOO MUCH!
Heather is so helpful! My second son was in the NICU for a week, had a severe tongue tie and flow confusion…She introduced simple ways to improve his latch and nursing overall as well as provide guidance around my pumping schedule. She was very easy going, did not make me feel judged at all and was kind!...I highly recommend her services!

A note for anxious, neurodivergent, and overwhelmed parents
Feeding support should not add another layer of pressure.
If you tend to research everything, worry that you’re missing something, feel overwhelmed by conflicting recommendations, or struggle when a plan suddenly changes, we can work with that. I’ll help you understand what matters, identify what actually needs attention, and create a plan that gives you enough information to feel grounded without turning feeding into another optimization project.
For neurodivergent parents, we can also account for sensory needs, executive-function load, communication preferences, routines, and the reality that a technically “ideal” feeding plan is not helpful if it is impossible for your nervous system or family to sustain.
Insurance, HSA, and Payment Information
Many families ask about insurance coverage for lactation visits.
While I do not bill insurance directly, many insurance plans will reimburse for lactation visits with an IBCLC. I provide superbills that you can submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
I also accept HSA and FSA cards, which many families use for prenatal and postpartum lactation visits and packages.
If you plan to use insurance reimbursement, I recommend calling your insurance provider and asking about their reimbursement rate for out-of-network lactation care.
FAQ’s

A package can be helpful when you want continuity instead of treating each feeding question as a separate event. Feeding often changes quickly in the postpartum period, and ongoing care lets us adjust your plan as your baby grows, your milk supply changes, and pumping, bottles, sleep, or returning to work enter the picture.
The other major benefit is access: package clients receive priority scheduling and between-visit support. Families who enroll prenatally can reserve their due date and have guaranteed postpartum availability. That can be especially reassuring if you know uncertainty tends to increase your anxiety or you simply want a familiar expert already in place.
Packages allow us to work together over time—adjusting your plan as your baby grows, preventing small issues from becoming bigger ones, and offering ongoing, personalized support. This kind of continuity is what leads to more sustainable, less stressful feeding outcomes.

Feeding isn’t a one-time problem to solve; it’s a dynamic process that changes week by week in the postpartum period. What works in the early days may need to shift as your baby becomes more alert, your milk supply regulates, or new routines develop.
Six to twelve weeks gives us time to support breastfeeding, pumping, bottles, combination feeding, and transitions as they actually happen. It also means you do not have to start from scratch with a new provider every time a question comes up.
Longer support does not mean we expect something to be wrong for six or twelve weeks. Some visits may involve troubleshooting; others may be about making something that is already working more comfortable, sustainable, or easier to fit into your life.
Ongoing lactation support allows us to respond in real time—supporting breastfeeding, pumping, or combination feeding while also helping you feel more confident and regulated along the way.

Wonderful. You do not need a problem to benefit from lactation care. We can refine comfortable feeding positions, introduce pumping or bottles in a way that supports your goals, prepare for returning to work, talk through sleep and developmental changes, or simply make sure feeding continues moving in the direction you want.

Yes. As an IBCLC in Austin, Texas, I work with many families navigating feeding challenges related to tongue ties, oral function, and painful or ineffective feeding.
Babies with tethered oral tissues may struggle with latch, milk transfer, weight gain, prolonged feeds, reflux-like symptoms, clicking, or difficulty feeding comfortably and efficiently. Parents may experience nipple pain, low milk supply, clogged ducts, or the feeling that feeding is taking over their entire day.
During our visits, I assess feeding, oral function, and milk transfer while looking at the bigger picture for both baby and parent. I also support families before and after frenotomy procedures, including help with breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, and protecting milk supply throughout the process.

Package clients have access to ongoing support between visits for questions, updates, and adjustments to the feeding plan. Clients may send messages by text/private chat, email, and voice memo at any time during their support period. Messages are generally answered within approximately 24 hours, Monday–Friday, with limited weekend availability.
Depending on the package, virtual check-ins may also be included.
